Product Review: DVD Haikus

From time to time I will review a product or two. Today’s blog will be a slight departure, as I will be providing some movie reviews in haiku form. For those unfamiliar with haiku, it is a Japanese style of poetry that has seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five. These poems required some imagination, as well as the use of five to seven of my fingers.

My first review is of the DVD Mad Max: Fury Road.

Mad Max, witness me.
Post-apocalyptic chase
from start to finish.

Another great film we bought recently was Calvalry, starring Brendan Gleeson.

Forgive me father,
for I am about to sin.
Make your peace with God.

Jurassic World was one we saw in the theater a few months back.

Spielberg blockbuster,
beating a dead dinosaur.
Pratt got my money.

The Disney/Pixar film Inside Out was another one we saw in the theater.

Fear, Anger, Disgust.
It is okay to be sad.
what a Joy to watch.

I recently purchased a blu-ray copy of the John Ford movie, The Quiet Man.

Ireland’s beauty,
John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara,
a John Ford classic.
